Public Education Committee

    

The public education committee (PEC) is a group of volunteers (psychologists and psychology students) who promote the understanding of the field of psychology to the public; facilitate access to information about psychologist roles and psychological services; serve as media contacts on critical social events and psychological topics; and act as a link between the public and field of psychology to collaborate with communities to improve mental and physical health.

You’ll find us:

  • Sharing helpful information and resources through social media (Facebook & Instagram)
  • Giving interviews for radio and television audiences
  • Submitting informative articles inspired by recent events on various medias
  • Hosting talks and educational events for local organizations or schools
  • Connecting with local communities at neighborhood events and health fairs throughout Oregon
