Now Accepting 2024 Student Posters!

OPA’s annual conference will be held on April 19-20th, 2024. Applications are accepted from both students and nonstudent members. Poster submissions will be reviewed prior to the conference and accepted posters will be disseminated digitally during the conference. Awards will be given during the conference (conference attendance is encouraged). 
DEADLINE EXTENDED: All Poster Submissions must be received by March 8, 2024.

If you are interested in submitting a proposal for a poster session, please email your proposal to [email protected] with the following information:

  • Subject of email: OPA 2023 Conference Poster Submission
  • The name(s) of the presenters and, if relevant, the name(s) of professors/instructors sponsoring the poster submission
  • Title of the poster presentation
  • Abstract (under than 300 words)
  • Contact information, including email & phone numbers of primary applicant 
  • Optional: The award category under which you would like to be evaluated

Submit a poster for one or more of the categories below:

 

Professionalism & Relational Competency

For exceptional demonstration of the values of the field of psychology across professional settings, interdisciplinary collaboration, community development, or social wellness.

 

Scientific Method & Application Competency

For exceptional demonstration of empirically rigorous application or evaluation of practices, interventions, and programs.

Education & Systems Competency

For exceptional demonstration of educational psychology, training, and teaching science, and/or human development across contexts and settings.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

For exceptional demonstration of awareness, advocacy, and skills in working with diverse and marginalized individuals, groups, and communities.

General Studies

OPA is aware that many students may have interests outside of these four categories. As we strive for inclusiveness within our association, we encourage students to submit posters on subjects of interest to you. These posters will be reviewed and awards presented accordingly.

Needing Additional CE?
OPA will be offering an additional day of CE sessions for those interested in attending the day before the conference begins, April 18, 2024. This one-day workshop, "Insomnia and CBT-I," will be presented by Donn Prosser PhD., CBSM, DBSM from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.  To register for this workshop, make sure to select the Thursday registration when selecting you desired courses, and the registration fee will be added to your registration submission.
